Wanting a Laptop

At least 2 gb of ram
At least 3.0+ processor
At least a 17 inch screen
A good video card
Around 80 gb of hard drive



I want to use the LAPTOP for general use, and I want to be able to run a lot of programs at once. I don’t want the computer to freeze up from to many programs, I just want it to run flawlessly.
I am going to be doing a lot of photo editing(I want to get photoshop) and watching and downloading a lot of videos and music. I want a big high resolution screen
My current comp freezes if I run to many things at once, and sometimes even one thing freezes up( Like today I tried to convert a video for my ipod, and the comp just freaked out).
Basically I want a high performance machine and I want it in a laptop.

My little averatec does all that just fine running at half processor speed and only having 1/4th the ram. Those specs are a tad bit crazy... It'll be extreamly expensive and probably melt after a days usage. You really should just consider a good desktop, perhaps even a small one if size is a problem. Laptops are NOT made for everyday useage like desktops

even though it is one of the few laptop companies that would make something like what you want, I would stay away from alienware. My friend has one and he's had lots of problems with it. The customer support is okay and eventually everything will get fixed (the last thing wrong with it is the video card and a replacement is supposedly in the mail right now). But he sent it in in late September for a bad motherboard and it still hasn't been completely fixed yet.
