I got a ghost boot CD that I wish to put on this Thumb Drive, but when I move the files on the thumbdrive it dosent work, and I remeber this happening before when I was trying to do this to a CD , and it only worked when I got the Burn CD program to Make Exact copy of the CD to another CD. Since this is not a CD instead a thumbdrive it will not work.

Anyone got any ideas to make this ghost boot CD , bootable on my thumbdive ?

I know when I make Burn CDS in the CMD,

I type down : BCD.CMD CDROMSI

any ideas would be appreicated, thanks.

You need a system that supports booting from USB drives, new ones shouldn't be a problem but on older computers it wont work

Well that dosent answer my question, what so ever, and I wouldnt be asking this question if it didnt work.

easy tiger

you'll need to use something like Norton’s Ghost 10.0 which allows you to mirror copy your information over to the partitioned drive.

are you sure? does your computer allow booting from USB's? you could be overlooking the smallest thing...

because you are new and you should know... if you want help, be patient... not all problems are easily solved, no matter how simple they look to you...

Well... it was a pain to have to register to reply to this... and perhaps you should do some searching, but every once in a while we have been to that place and are happy to share what we've discovered.

There's a guy, I guess his name is Bart. What a blessing that he took the time to share his work.

Exacly what your looking for. Worst case (I did this in testing took me all of 10 minutes), download the "stripped down" boot disk builder. Run the build with CD Support. Copy your ghost.exe file to the thumb drive when your done. Reboot and your good to go.

Enjoy,

Peter.
