The first is a DVI to VGA converter, and the second is the graphics card I'm looking at. My motherboard has a VGA in the back of it as well, so I was wondering if I got that card, would i need to use the converter to set up dualies? Also, will that card support dual monitors if I'm using my motherboard? Lastly, how would you set up the computer to recognize that you have dual monitors (so World of Warcraft can open in one window, while i can surf on the other)?

The VGA port on the back of your computer is for the onboard graphics processor, which are in general crap. You could use the onboard graphics processor in addition to the graphics card above, but the additional graphics card will do a better job of..well, processing graphics. You probably don't need the DVI to VGA converter as most modern monitors have both VGA and DVI inputs (LCD's, not CRT's). Once you plug in the second monitor, whether it be mobo + gfx card, or gfx card + gfx card, the computer will automatically recognize it and set it to clone mode, that is, you will get the same image on both monitors. This is easily changed in the display properties to either stretch the picture between the two screens, or I use a 3rd party software called UltraMon, which provides me with a feature called DualView. This will do as you wanted..I can use each monitor separately, and have one application in one monitor and have another application running in another monitor.
