Wanting to underclock a video card

I'm currently looking at video cards and I've found a fairly nice one but it comes pre-overclocked. The difference seems minimal (675 core clock from 650), so I was wondering a few things.

Does overclocking the card cause some mobos to not read it? A few of the card reviews had people whos computers wouldn't post with the card in it. Also, will overclocking the card cause it to not last as long (and if so, how much less life will this one have for the extra 25mhz that they OCed)?

Finally, if it is beneficial to underclock the thing back to normal, is there any way that I can do that? I'm not sure if BFG configures everything around the OC or if they just make a card and then OC it for you later.

Here's the card I'm considering:

You posted in the wrong section, but thats okay :)

The overclock shouldn't cause any problems at all. You really have no need to underclock it. It will boot fine unless it is DOA. I don't know for sure, but if overclocking does lower the life expectancy of a card, don't worry about it. It'll outlive itself.
