Wanting to upgrade.

Thats actually a great deal. The motherboards looks cheap, but according to the specs and reviews it's not. It's just something about those green boards that reminds me of really cheap mobo's.

And yes your x1900XTX will be compatible. Any PCI-E cars will be.
 
sweeet. Is the the good quad core? Im aware that theres different kinds but never really looked into the difference of all of them.

Im wondering if I should also try my first oc on that quad and if I should up my gpu.

Right now theres only one kind of quad-cores available to consumers, but there are 3 different models to choose from. The Q6600 is the lowest model, but still a terrific processor. You may want to wait until July 22nd though, because the processor is dropping from $530 MSRP to $266 or so.

That's cheap as hell!!

But I also want a nice well known mobo that's suitable for gaming and would match up nicely with that cpu.
 
Any of the 680i boards are great. It depends if you want to use SLI or CF in the future, because the 680i boards support SLI while the P35 boards support CrossFire.
