Keep in mind this computer is almost 4 years old....

Here are my specs ($500 Budget):

Case: Antec 900
CD-ROM: Pioneer DVR-21D
Graphics Card: Nvidia quadro FX PNY FX 3500 PCI-E 256MB 256 BIT DDR3 Dual DVI-I
OS: Vista home premium
Harddrive #1: (for the OS): Western Digital Raptor 150gb SATA 10k RPM 16MB
RAM: (4 Sticks of) Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048 1GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Cannel
Motherboard: ASUS p5k DELUXE/WIFI-AP ATX LGA775 P35 DDR2 1333FSB 2PCI-E16 3PCI 2PCI-E1 Sata2
2nd Hard Drive: Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 320 GB Sata2 7200RPM 16MB 8.5MS

Depends on what you're using your PC for.

A faster core 2 quad could always be useful, but if you plan on PC gaming sometime then I would recommend changing the GPU.
