Wants to know the procedure of installing win xp from dos operating system

Sir,
My friend purchased a compaq laptop. Its having only dos. Kindly advice to install win xp( with the help of win xp boot cd ).

Turn on computer.
Enter bios (F** or DEL - it will say at the very first screen which lists your hardware).
Select 'Boot from CD' (or something along these lines) as 1st boot priority.
Exit Bios (having saved).
Computer will restart.
Installation will start.
