Warning no device detected

hello all, I have built a new computer, it has a hot drive function which I used to back up all my data and I took this out and stored it, I have this so when I come to re-format it will save me some time, on boot up it says warning no device detected, for a while it wouldn't boot up and am wondering if that had something to do with it, it boots up everytime now but still always displays the same message, anyone have any ideas?

This Forum is awesome. Ask for technical help get 1 reply, Ask what parts to buy for new computer and get 70 reply's.

And then we have new users that make comments like this that doesn't help the poster at all. Maybe it because no one knows the answer to his question or has the experience about it. If you don't want to make a comment to help the user then next time, don't make a comment at all please.

Hey, at least I tried to help. Look at the positive side- that even one person tried rather than NO one trying at all :)

Didn't hurt either, I would have added too what was said, but I think talking about right clicking COMPUTER, selecting PROPERTIES and checking out Device Manager is a bit early. Then again OP might need to go into MANAGE instead of Properties, and select STORAGE. I just wanted to wait for OP to say something, and if someone else said something.

Thanks for the replies, don't think there are any problems in device manager, I will check the bios settings, I am somewhat a novice when it comes to computer building, I can build them however I have to work some things out as I go along as this is only the 3rd I have built and they have changed a bit since the first build which was a p166 which I quite dangerously upgraded to a p433 as the motherboard had to be rested on the top and was not the correct psu

This is a computer forum right??? This is where you discuss computers not how to fix them?? I might just have been mistaken as many other posters asking for help.

We do everything here, not just discuss them. Your comment seemed rude to me and was off topic that didn't help the user at all. Like nobody could answer the posters question. If all you think we do is discuss computers here, then you aren't looking in the right threads. Over 50 percent of the threads here are to figure out an issue with their system.
