warranty void if i OC

yes because you are pushing the frequency to a greater level than the maker intended, hence you could cause an injury or such and will void the warranty
 
Yes. It is the same as opening up an electronics product and tweeaking the settings. Not default, not warrantied.
 
yea, they can't tell though. if you overvolt it a ton and cause physical damage then they'll be able to tell... but as long as you dont change anything about the physical chip they normally take it back.
of course, if the chip wasnt damaged then you would have no reason to send it back now, would you? lol
sometimes people do mods, like a new bios or a volt mod on the mobo... which is what can void motherboard warranties, but other than that normally the companies can't tell if it was o/ced or not.
