Warrenty Question

I have an Asus motherboard with a 3-year warranty. I bought it brand new from Fry's. So is that warranty 3 years from the purchase date or the date the board was manufactured?

ok thanks buddy, but one more question, like they never ask for a receipt or anything so how would they kno it was still in warranty if it has been there years since the models manufacturing date?

Maybe if that specific board hasnt been avaible for more than 3 years currently they thats maybe the way they can tell....:s

Sometimes when you misplaced your docket or proof of purchase manufacturers will honour the warranty if its 3 years from the manufactured date. I know Samsung does this, not sure about other manufacturers.

Like said above, some manufactures will stand by it if the boards model is not older than the warranty.

I don't think they have a legal obligation to do so, not really sure, because warranty claims are usually handled by the retailer.

Without a receipt they dont have to, but Frys might have a record of it, if not you will have to go through Asus. And hope who ever you talk to, there kids were not screaming that morning and they wreaked there car on the way to work
