Was my purchase worth it?

I recently bought a new Nvidia Geforce 6500 512 mb.
The Core clock is 350mhz O/Ced to 480mhz.
The Memory clock is 664mhz O/Ced to 750mhz.

What I want to know is, did I get a good deal?
I payed AU$110.

I dont want posts telling me about how I could have got a 7600 Gt for $40 more or anything. I am just wanting ppls feedback on whether or not they think its a decent card. And worth what I paid for it.

NOT WORTH it, max it would cost is like 50$ us dolar which would be around AU$90

Also the card is very OLD for not saying prehistoric
 
The 6500 isn't that popular of a card, and it's not that great either. If you just need a video card for the heck of it, then it'll be fine. But if you want to do some gaming, then it really isn't the card for you.
 
Yeah I have kinda figured that now. But play games like Quake 4 and Halo stuff quite well on low to medium graphics. And thats fine for me as I dont care about
the graphical quality. I jus want to be able to play the game without "skipping"
 
If you didn't care about graphical quality why didn't you get the 6200? Even a FX5200 can play Doom 3 without skipping on low settings. Sometimes you have a big disadvantage if you have a crappy graphics card, for example shadow would be disabled to increase performance and sometimes with that on, you can get a few seconds head start on the enemy. ;)
 
Yes but if I got a worse graphics card I couldnt be sure of all the games it could play. and seeing as games keep getting more and more graphical, this card will last me for longer. i realise that i could have got a better one for not that much more. but i didnt have much knowledge about graphics cards at that time.

And still dont haha
 
Depends on where you got. ;) If you get if off some online stores, they are pretty cheap. I don't mean ebay I mean ones that have a website where you order and then go to some warehouse to pay and pickup.
