watching video on the internet

when i watched video on the internet, like in youtube.. its intermittent, hangs on and off. any idea how to fix this?

HARDWARE:
Intel P4 2.66GHZ
DSL router: SPEEDTOUCH 546 V6
Video card: NVIDIA GEFORCE 7600 GS (512MB)

its probably due to you having a bad internet connection or its too slow.

mines the same i t keeps having to buffer all the time when watching movies online.

not really a bad internet connection as such, no, but mine lags too, i basically let is stream itself, then i play it.
am pretty sure people on 8mbps connection has lags too, correct me if am wrong
 
The lag is common and it is normal. There is nothing to fix, patrickv is correct, sometimes, the 8MB connections also have lags. However, this depends according to your internet connection and also the internet traffic on the website where you are watching the videos.
What I do is, pause the video till it loads completely and then play it, this way, I'm ensuring uninterrupted video play.

if i'm at the office, watching video for the same site is OK got no problem with it. my DSL subsciption is 256kbps, how can i check if this is a poor connection?
 
Please go to speedtest.com and check that your download speed is above 90 kbps(It's what I get normally, and it's pretty fast, so I'm guessing that it should be the same for you).

And I don't keep bookmarks. :(.

yeh im on 8meg connection-well im getting 7.6 according to my isp..

watching videos online for me is hit and miss sometimes it doesnt lag at all but if im watchin youtube it lags

not just your internet connection should be taken into consideration but the sites connection speed and how many people are trying to watch the same video

might just be that the sites connection cant handle all the connections trying to stream the video
 
I went to Speedtest And got, 10538 for AVG. And 15914 for best. Is that any good?

Also Laggy Videos Is usualy Dew to slow internet.
 
thanks. i tested and got this result looks like fine but video still lags.
