hey, i want to get water cooling, well my friend wants it actually. his specs are : evga 780i sli motherboard, 1 gtx 260(soon two)(SLI), Q9550(this is what we want water cooled, 4gb ddr2 800 g. skill, 2 500gb seagates, antec twelve hundred. only one cd/dvd drive. so... i was considering this.( and by the way im helping him do this) so:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106108&Tpk=thermaltake water

so is this included with all the parts needed? i need to know because im new to water cooling. all tips are appreciated. and i also need to know how to install. tutorial links would be great. thanks a lot.

pt nuke(just mix this with plain distilled water): http://www.petrastechshop.com/pepcobi1.html

those thermaltake kits are complete crap, the blocks crack, the pumps die, and everything corrodes
edit: oh, you'll need hose clamps also, along with three 120mm fans that can be picked up from there also(yate loons) 3 for $12 and some odd change

not a good buy!

i have come across the cpu block (cracked-replaced) the water resivour (cracked and replaced) the radiators are poorly made and the pumps are under powered!

they are good for there money but dont expect them to cool high end computers like an expensive kit would.

i had the thermaltake bigwater 745 and the cpu block leaked all over my gpu, then i noticed bubbles coming from around the barbs on the resivour so they both needed replacing.

if your gonna go with kits get something like this--\/

i've said it over and over before buy some decent water cooling equipment like just a noob suggested in his post. or get high grade air cooling.

ya that looked great... thanks. i might refer that to my friend. he'll probably get it. but i want to know how first.... tips for set up. example: where does the main water cooling pump unit go? drive bays? or how to set up tubing, cutting it to size. i need to know. thanks

Yah for a first timer it could be rough and if he likes to keep things simple they have extrernal watercooling kits like some thermaltakes on newegg. Sure you wont get as good of performance but it will be pretty darn close

well im not stupid, like idk.. i can plug tubes together and screw things in and secure things and all that. i just want to know... well like is it were there is a pump, the pump conects to the tubes, tubes to block and thats it. and then adding the water...? let me know. thanks

it goes resivor to pump to cpu to raidiator to resivar to pump to cup and so forth

think in cooling a car. you have a resivor that then releases to the radiator then into the intake cooling the engine(cpu) then back over and over.

please for the love of god, anything is better than those thermaltake kits, especially at 150 dollars, if you can get it at 50 dollars, fine, but don't go for a thermaltake kit if its at 150 dollars, the amount of cooling for the price is terrible

ok guys, hear me out on this. I AM NOT GETTING A KIT!!! ill get what scout suggested or whatever. were its part by part. all i need to know is the set up process! not what parts to get! thanks. sorry for getting mad

ok, i would loop it something like pump-cpu block-radiator-reservoir-back to pump, always have the loop going from coolest component, to the warmest, and always make sure that the reservoir is going to the intake on the pump

thanks. ok so i dont exactly know where the intake is and other things. will i have trouble figuring this out or will the instructions provide enough info...?
