wouldnt go fot the acrylic cpu block, there is the possibility of cracks (happened to me)

i have this one and i get really good temps
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-000-DT&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1034

also get some anti kink coils for you tubing, only cost a few more £'s and they stop the kinks when your tubing is bent

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-002-PM&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1048

for me that water cooling setup would be a good start but stay away from them acrylic water blocks

that pump is terrible, use this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-005-SW&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1042 you'll also net much better temps with one of these rads oh, and skip the feser, its a total waste of money, if you like the color, just get colored tubing, it'll last way longer(color)

Bearing in mind im only cooling my CPU So why would i ned such a huge radiator? Could i settle for a x2 120mm radiator?

AKA: XSPC RS240 Radiator

what about if I am going to cool my CPU (i7 920) and also my Northbridge (the mobo I want comes with a watercooler block for the NB -gigabyte extreme x58 )...what size radiator would you guys suggest? (I only want to use one if possible) also the case I am thinking of getting is the Cooler Master HAF if that helps anything......
I would not want to spend over $200 if possible...and I will also be using all the fans that come with the case as well as 1 extra maybe -(is that useless?).....
is there a kit I should buy -maybe I would have to get a separate cpu block ? (but when I think of it maybe it would be better to build myself if I need to do that?)
my friend has this:

not sure if I should do the same as him....

keep in mind, I am completely new to watercooling....

same here. Using the Stock watercooler that came with the case. (Thermaltake Kandalf LCS ) Q6600 on 3.6GHz and its at room temp idle. (using a 360mm Radiator. at least, i think its called like that.. since it has 3 120mm fans on it. )

i'm guessing thats a gigabyte watercooling kit, avoid it like the plague, mixed metals=corrosion=temperature increases and possibly dead pump. anyway, i would avoid cooling the nb with the stock solution, seems to me its just plated steel or something. heres the list: cpu block $60 radiator $50 pump $70 tubing $3/foot

well first of all thanks very much!..second of all -the cpu block you posted is for socket 775, but I will need socket 1366....?.
and lastly -so you suggest me just to basically forget about cooling the northbridge (maybe just leave it up to the air cooling ?).....is that right?-so maybe just have it cool the cpu only?...what about graphics cards?(I supposed I can always modify my system to cool a graphics card though, right?)...

unless your up for hacking apart the stock motherboard cooler(bad idea if you have to rma) there isn't a solution for the gigabyte board(as far as i know)

I would just use the stock watercooling block on it (the one that comes with the motherboard)...but I thought you recomended against it?....
