Hey guys, just wondering, can you look over this water cooling build and let me know if it's good or not. i have a max budget of £300 to spend on it, if something needs changing can you let me know.

Rad: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-022-XS
Rad box: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-030-SW
Pump: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-025-XS
CPU Block: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-032-SW
2 GPU Blocks: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-015-ZA
2 X 1 meter Tubing: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-002-XS
Coolent: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-001-FO

with that coolent do i just pour that into the system or do i need to add something? someone once told me that when getting a WC setup, to test run it outside of the computer for around 48 hours and check for leaks, can you just use tap water for that test or do you need to use distilled water?

if there is anything you think i should know before getting this, please let me know.
Thanks

Honestly, you dont even need a coolant, regular distilled tab water would work just fine. I would get some extra tubing if i were you, incase you cut a piece too short or something. If you are cooling 2 gpus and a quadcore, you might wanna think about adding another triple or dual rad to that setup, and im not so sure on that pump, you might wanna get something a little better like This.

those zalman blocks WILL cause corrosion to happen in the loop, and nothing can stop that, mainly being because you will be mixing metals. if you want more cooling in the future, i would suggest this radiator: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ame=Thermochill PA120.3 120mm Triple Radiator as for gpu blocks this is what i would recommend: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...id=193&subcat=1035&name=EK VGA Acetal Supreme you will also need barbs+clamps for all this(these are great, not sure if they fit on the gpu blocks though: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-011-FO&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1049&name=TFC%20Compression%20Fitting%20G1/4"%20Thread%201/2"%20ID/3/4"%20OD%20-%20High%20Flow and this is for the gpu blocks: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-006-EK&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1049&name=EK%201/2"%20Hose%20fitting edit: also that pump is crap, look here for your watercooling stuff: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/ also, a good pump would be the liang ddc 3.2

i would get this radiator, it will perform better(those black ice rads are still great) http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=723 you will need these barbs: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_53&products_id=1096 and then you can use normal barbs(g1/4") this pump: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=77_74&products_id=474 with this top: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=77_74&products_id=802 that cpu block is ok, get an ek supreme if you want a little more bling, full cover blocks a little bit more expensive, but this is one i would recommend(the vga block you currently have is fine): http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27_78&products_id=695 i would say get these clamps(they are a bit pricey, but they are also blingy): http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_65&products_id=975 if you got those, you also wouldn't need hose clamps, if you got the full cover blocks, you could also use this: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=925

darn i wanted to put fish in it and get them to feed of the algae, poo
looks like plan B then

fish are a bad idea, not fun to clean up when they get sucked into an impeller, that makes a big mess :D i would imagine if they rotted long enough, some of the fumes might blow the tubes apart

Very good setup, I would not use those black plastic clips, they are horrible. I would use these: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7...se_Clamp_for_12_OD_Tubing.html?tl=g30c289s721

They are much better at securing the tubing to the barbs, and look better IMO.

I don't recall what type of tubing you are getting, but I would recommend 1/2"ID and 3/4"OD. Don't forget barbs as well.

As for the VGA waterblock, I've never liked the universal types, I always try to get ones that are designed specifically for one type of video card.
