Do you guys ever think it's worthwhile to get a case that designed from the ground up to be watercooled?

A certain case caught my eye on newegg (a sponsor, so i hope it's alright!) it's made by swiftech, and probably the single most beautiful, understated function over form case i've ever seen :P

Behold:

qp-p180.jpg

It's GLORIOUS!!!

It's completely designed to be watercooled, and is completely redesigned, yet still ATX complaint, but has the power supply at the BOTTOM, and the motherboard at the top, for a short pathlength between the processor and the heatsink. And also has a fan that sucks in cold fresh air from the top of the case, directly onto the heatsink.

PLUS! All of the panels, including the front cover are all insulated, so it's supposed to be really quiet, as well.

Only problem is.... It's $400.............

I could easily do a $100 thermaltake case, and another $109 extra for a thermaltake bigwater kit to fit into said case, but i wouldn't end up with nearly the fit and form that i'd have with the swiftech.

Who here thinks it's worth a little extra dough for something that was planned out to work optimally vs. combining a aircooled case with a watercooling setup? And who thinks it's a big waste of money?

I added a poll, so i can get the most responses possible, but i want comments, too, if you can spare the time to give me one.

I realize it's a lot of money, but JEEEZ that's a beautiful machine......

here's the product page at newegg, so you can take a look at the insides. Insulated water lines? Yes please

yes and no

yes because it look very clean, nice and it is done

and no because you could do the something for less, plus you could do a custom water cooling set up and that case for the same price, 300 on water cooling stuff and 100 for the case

i'm either going to do this case, or a thermaltake case with a dangerden w/c setup.......

the swiftech looks SO clean, tho.

very professional

but, it's super low service, and has a brushless pump, hence the huge pricetag

that case isn't designed from the ground up to be watercooled. The P180B was designed to be silent. Another company modded that case to it can be watercooled.
