i am building a computer to sell, and i would like it to be a little quieter. The hard drive is really noisy, does anyone know of any usefull tips i could use to quiet the hard drive a little, like maybe muff it in something or adjust something in the bios, thanks.

A noisey hard drive is usually one about to quit. If you are hearing binding or clicking sounds you are seeing a drive failure in progress.

its not extremely noisy, but you can hear it pretty easily, and i don't really hear and clicking or anyhting that would make me think its quiting

How about drive access time? If the drive's spindle is binding from wear that could result in a fail as well. If the sound has grown louder over a period of time that would seem to point to wear. But some drives are known to be louder then others. With two ide and a sata drive in the build here only the large front intake fan is heard.

It could also be a noisey fan as well. When was the last time the case and fans saw a good air cleaning? would be another question to ask.
