Weak signal, any boosters reccomended?

Hey guys i have a 5 acre property and have wireless FIOS the router goes 300 feet. I must be Right on the 300 feet mark because every hour or so i lose my connection. Without changing out routers what can i do to get a better signal? I have a desktop with the specs below and a DV6000 laptop with wireless LAN Both go in and out of signal all the time.
Any help would be appreciated. There is so many different types of signal boosters and i would like a suggestion on a good one. I am on a limited budjet so i would prefer something around 100 bucks.
 
Is it possible to get something that i can mount in my house? my house is not the same house as our router but it's on the same property about 300 feet away. We have verizon FIOS with the stock router. The thing is, my uncle doesn't like to mess with the router, so i would like to have nothing to do with the router. With that being said is there anything that i can hook up in my house that just picks up the signal and boosts it?
 
I really need help! i am right outside of the signal area! i have 26 bucks in my paypal account. You guys don't know how frustrating this is getting for me. I am constantly losing a signal, then getting it again, over and over and over!!!!! If it will plug right into the back of the router then i guess we can try it. I prefer something i can just stick on my window or something.
also just so you know, i have wireless on my desktop i believe it has a 5DB output antenna or whatever it is.
