Web Design Requirements

Just so I can have this knowledge, what should I learn to become a good Web Designer.

HTML, CSS, PHP, Flash, Javascript.

And if I wanted to make scripts, for sites, what language would be categorized with that, HTML, JS, and PHP?


What else?

You have to know HTML, CSS is similar but must-know, Flash-today you can't design without it!, Javascript, can but isn't necessery depending on you, and PHP...I'd learn it
 
Sadly Programs like dream weaver are ending the days of the web master. BAsicly if you get dreamweaver u only need to no flash, But you should learn basic html. Takes 5 minutes, and noing what javascript is always helps.
 
I use Dreamweaver, and it is very limited with designing.


And, no offense, but I'd like older, more experienced people to post..


Your allowed to post, and add your input, but I am also looking for more experienced people.

Well Ive been learning english since i was born, tried japanese and french in yr 7.

lol jks, html, bit of java, bit of flash, im ok with cascading style sheets ( css ), and average with Hypertext Preprocessor ( php for short :D (.

Its sad that you discriminate me because of a number, Its sad that discrimination is still around quagmondo23!!!

Yeah, you spelled experienced wrong... And you shouldn't have to spell out CSS...

Besides that...;)

I was just talking about the posts on the first page that say the same thing over and over again. Yet, there is no explanation as to "why?"... I will just catch him on XFire... But, w3cschools.com is a good resource and where I gained my lacking knowledge from.
