Website Promotion

You can put the url in your profile and i would think in your signature too. As far as posting topics about it... unless you have a question about it I would think the best place for that would be like in the off topic section but dont spam the forum with posts saying "come to my site"

Maybe a moderator will chime in on this.
 
Actually the idea to put in the signature is awsome! I might post the website in the off topics section I guess or find out more about it.
 
IF you are a genuine member and help people rather than just posting more and more about your own website or business they would let you have a private business/blog related link in your sig.But only if you have proven that your intent is not to spam but to help or be helped by other people on topics related to computers.
If I were you I would first establish myself as a genuine member first and then go about with anything like that.
Since you don't have many posts on the forums,you do not have any proof enough for the mods to anchor your intent on.

I might be completely wrong with the above,but this is what I have noticed on the forums.

Anyways a mod will check this thread out and will decide. ;)

Of course I don't want to spam anything on the forum like the other 95% of advertisers. I like this forum alot and have respect for it. I want to advertise on a level that is person to person so to speak. So if a moderator can clear things up here for me and go from there :). Also to John.Huston45 I would like to hear more marketing tips from users on the forum who have a business or plainly don't. Doesn't matter all tips are read.
 
We can only allow you the link in your signature. If we let you create threads about your business, we would consider that spam and delete them. We would think you were only here for you business and not the forum.
