Websites that let you Build

I'm starting to read up on how to. But i've never built one. I wouldn't know what's compatible and what isn't and whether i'm getting a good deal on each individual product. =\

I pretty much read everything on THIS page and learned a great deal about building computers, how they work, ect. It is a bit of reading, but if your actually interested you'll read all of it
Read that then head over to newegg.com and start adding to your wishlist :D

You can have a computer capable of playing Crysis on MAX settings for under $1800...just the upside to building your own computer. You get WAY more for what you pay for.

Thanks. I know about newegg.. if I can custom build something and it comes out much cheaper than any deals they have. I will try and do it. How will I check whether things are compatible?

That sentence is HILARIOUS, IF IT COMES OUT CHEAPER HAHAHA! Stop looking now I am telling you if you make it IT IS cheaper.

Okay, I've edited it accordingly.

Wont I need a network card for getting on the internet wirelessly? What about a sound card? And what motherboard do you recommend for this build?

I think i'm done after that. I'll total it up and see how much it is.

you will probably need a network card if you want to go wireless. If going wired, the motherboard will have an ethernet port on it.

Shouldn't need a sound card unless you want to go any higher than just the basic computer speaker setup.

I have a 4.1 setup right now.. well.. all four speakers are just facing me and I got a sub woofer underneath the desk. So not really a setup. But without a sound card wont two of my speakers not work?

I agree with those who say websites like newegg.com and etc. I trust those kinds of websites more than i trust websites like ibuypower.com

Okay I picked a motherboard kind of randomly. How's it look? It's 940 at this point.

Anything I can trim off? Anything I should add on?

most motherboards are just basic sound. My motherboard actually has a little bit higher level sound output. It has outputs for like 5 different speakers or something like that. It all depends on the motherboard you pick

SOME LAST QUESTIONS BEFORE I PURCHASE

Q: When I boot up.. will it have windows on it or am I gonna have to buy the software?
Q: Will I be able to use all 4 speakers on my 4.1 without a sound card?
Q: Do I need a network card to use wireless?
Q: Is everything compatible?
Q: Is this a good deal or should I trim some of the fat?
Q: What tools do I need to buy in order to put this all together?

Joking lol I'm tired. I would just try out a version of linux and see if you like it. Yes you need to get the software, but I would just try out linux you can download live boot cd's online so you just pop the cd in. You can plug all the speakers in regardless but if you want good high quality HD surround sound you gotta get a sound card, your motherboard is amd which means it only works with amd procesors.
