Weird and really annoying

Hey I just moved my computer from one room to another and plugged in a tv tuner card. All of a sudden, about 5 seconds after logging in the screen will go really dim. I haven't changed any of the settings, and even when I put the brightness up really high it still isn't bright.
When I get into a game the screen works fine and the brightness is normal, so I think it is a problem with Vista or some settings that changed themselves...

Any ideas?
 
Stumbled on a way to fix it. The Catalyst control centre for my GC changed it all by itself and i had to reactivate the colours.
