Weird BF2 issue

was messing with settings and when i put them back to where i normally have them i ended up with this weird popping

(forgot how to do the coding so it shows up there) but i know my frame reate wasn't that bad, and at around :15 you can see my ping is rapist, so i can't tell why this is hapenning, and i did try lowering some of the settings to no avail.

I fixed the link for you. All you do is take the youtube video ID and put inside youtube code
 
thnx, but the thing was i don't remembr the utube coding, that was my point, and still no ides guys, it's really annoying me. Half the time i have to reload twice or when sniping i move it to their head then it pops over a few feet so it isn't on them, it's so annoying.
 
hey johnny, i think this might be a framerate issue tbh, i remember when i was playing on an amd xp 2000+ (this was earlier this year actually lol) i had a similar thing because my computer could not play the darned thing. I could be wrong, but it might be worth lowering the setting to the absolute lowest and seeing if that helps.

I had an fx 5200 lol and the game would do this contsantly.

EDIT: I keep spellling your name wrong as well haha, i think johnny is the british spelling lol ::p
 
actually johnny is the right way, i learned that after i started using this id on all my stuff a few years ago and just never cared to change my spelling, and i didn't know the right way cuz my name is jonathan with no h.

and this is on my pentium one with the 7050, and i had fraps running and the fps is fine. i know it's not that cuz when i'm sniping and i move the mouse over it will pop back over when i stop in the opposite direction i was moving it. it will also make me reload twise and other weird stuff like that. i'm gunna go play it now and hopefully it was just bugging and now that i've restarted it and everything hopefully it will have stopped, might have had to do with the server too.
 
Actually thinking about it now it may be the server, and internet side of things.

iv never had it happen on bf2 but i have seen it on bfbc2 when i had really bad internet.

My guy would do a sort of dance and everything just sort of went like a flip book.

Keep an eye on your ping and where you pick your servers from see if that helps.

Also is this th eonly time its happened or have you played it before and its been fine.

And about the name thing lol, i had a mate called jonathan, but we always called him johnny and i just thought that was the way to spell it :P
 
well i tried it on another server that also had a very low ping and i also lowered all the settings and all and still no dice. downloading newer beta drivers now, and also gunna check some stuff cuz my dx keeps on getting error messages so it might be doing something and i'll do a defrag too.

Hmm have you tried putting your drivers back a year or two, i remember john on here saying one of his old cards had real issues with fully updated drivers.

Is bf2 updated and patched fully, and it cant hurt to make sure dx is updated fully as well.

if all else fails, you could try a fresh install of bf2

if all this fails, i fail :P
 
i was thinking the fresh install too, and how do you update dx, didn't see anything in dxdiag about it but it didn't see any problems.
 
Have you tried lowering the screen resolution? I had an issue on BFBC2 somewhat similair and I ended up lowering my screen resolution down running the game noticed it was gone. Then I put my screen resolution back and it remained gone. Just a thought good luck and let us know if you get it fixed.
 
actually i think this may have started after i upped it then put it back down, unfortunately thanks to me f-ing 7050 it's already on 800x600, will mess with that later, not playing it right now.
 
i can check in a min, haven't been playing others on here lately, will try something else in a sec, also i was going to do that yesturday but my BF2142 wouldn't load games, just crashed the 1 or 2 times i tried

i didn't even change the res and all, but last night i reinstalled it and it seems to almost be gone, it just pops the gun up while running a little but none of the really bad stuff that was screwing me up.
