Weird BSOD During restarts

Whenever I restart my laptop I have a BSOD that restarts my restart that is said to be caused by a USB_BUGCODE or something to that effect. Could this be my Notebook cooler, that has 4 USB ports? Or could it be my iPod that is plugged into my USB notebook cooler that is plugged into my laptop. Any ideas on what causes this?

Most often the BSODs are software/driver related problems. You may be seeing a driver hang at times. The IPod would be first item to consider there since usb ports themselves are opens until you have something plugged in.
