Weird CPU Temperature?

I built my computer a couple days ago with the e8400 processor, and at the beginning when I first started my computer, I got a message about how my cpu temperature was extremely hot. This turned out to be because part of my cpu fan had popped out of the motherboard. After popping the fan back on, I was getting an average idle temperature of 40 degrees in bios.

Today, I decided to check my system temperature using PC Wizard. Upon checking my cpu temperature, I found that my cpu was listed as 35 degrees under idle. The individual processor cores, however, were listed at 20 degrees and 64 degrees. Is there something wrong with my processor/cpu fan since according to PC Wizard, one of my processor core temperatures are extremely high? Thanks for all the help.

Firstly, some E8x00 CPUs had problems with the thermal diode, that could explain it.

Maybe something simply caused the hotter core to run at full speed, causing it to heat up, while the other would stay relatively cool? If this persists, you may also want to re-seat the heatsink, I've heard that if it's slightly unbalanced, the other core may not be as effectively cooled as the other one... but my guess would be a faulty thermal diode, or just something wrong with the program you're using. Some programs do give rather weird temperatures, so if only one program shows the temps way off, there should be nothing to worry about.
