Weird mouse problem

Im using a Roccat Kone. This problem started out of nowhere, right after I booted up my comp. I've made no changes to hardware or software within the past few weeks.
The problem is that the mouse doesn't go exactly as I direct it. After noticing that the cursor is moving very strangely, I tested the mouse by moving it from side to side. The cursor starts to drift upwards. When I move the mouse up and down, the cursor drifts to the left. I've cleaned out the sensors at the bottom, there are no dust in it.
Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance :)
 
I imagine that you have software installed for the mouse and drivers? If so, try uninstalling all drivers and software for the mouse and reinstalling it. Usually that will alleviate issues like this...
 
I did that and it doesnt seem to help :( What would you say this is a problem of? Hardware or software?
 
Have you tried another mouse that has done the same thing? That doesn't necessarily mean that it's a hardware thing if it stops doing that, but at least it's somewhere to start.
 
The problem went away when i booted up this morning :X (i restarted several times last night but the problem persisted then)

Yeah, with mouse issues like that it is never easy to nail down whether it's a hardware or software issue. Even if you switch from a mouse and the problem goes away, it could still be software related in the way where the drivers for the one mouse may have been the issue. Anyway, glad that it is behaving now!
