weird problem, is it me or is my pc alright?

I don't know if this seems to be normal or not but every time I click on start, click internet explorer, and then close the internet and click on start right away, it lasts like 3 to 4 seconds to expand. Also, when I click on my documents and close it and click on start, it does the same thing as well. Overall my pc is fine and runs very well and is fast enough to not have this small problem.

Also, when I use internet explorer, browsing through the web is kind of slow for 3 to 5 seconds at first. And what also gets me frustrated is that when I close internet explorer, it lasts 5 seconds to close. What is wrong with my pc? Because of this, I have to use firefox for browsing through the internet.

its just because when you close a program it is removing the program from the ram of page file which lags the system momentairly. you may notice a greater lag just after closing a bigger program like photoshop, a game, a large word document etc.

O ok. It kind of sounds like what spencer is saying that it lags to close something but the problem is that I never had this happen before until now. Regarding your conclusions, what should I do to make everything back to how it was? What is it thats making my pc lag like this with programs?

u cud try booting into safe mode and running anti-spyware scans and antivirus scans...
i recommend using spybot search and destroy...

Well, I tried stuff like that and it may have found a couple of trojans and trackers but it still would keep acting like this. Once again, its not a big deal. My pc runs very fast almost at all times. I'm just trying to avoid any problems near the future.

Besides spyware and spybot or whatever else is out there, I always ranned scans with these programs and I never used to see results. Do these types of programs make alot of differences in pcs these days? I'm sorry, its my expression about these types of programs that when theres a virus for example, and if you get the program to delete it, it will go away but the pc stays acting weird again lol. And, I had issues before with an older pc that if my pc detected a virus, it will delete it but when I'll do a rescan or restart the pc and then a rescan, it will still popup!

Well anyways, I will try the safe mode stuff and run these programs. thanks.

yea it makes a difference, sum of the anti spyware programs miss out sum infections.
and anyways, the best way to ensure that u dont have a virus is to reformat your system(this does not apply for rootkits).

i hope the spyware will be removed without any further problems
