well a new psu didnt fix the problem (more detail)

well im go all work up to play mw2 again for free and when i went to load the map my computer just turned off no bsod blue screen and restarted. i bought a new psu cuz you guys told me that it was the problem well its not so i dont know what to do now :mad:
every temp is at 46 c but the gpu is at 43 c ide

i turned off my pc and started feel how hot stuff was and everything didnt feel super hot but in the picture below the goldish think is so hot and if i hold my finger on there long enough i could burn myself, could that be the problem? no sure what the heatsink is cooling but something is fish about it

Well, your temps aren't all-too bad, especially the GPU. I would tend to think it's not a heat issue. What PSU do you have? Define "play mw2 again for free"...

That is the motherboard heatsink, don't worry about it. If it is getting too hot it could be the motherboard. I would return the PSU, tell newegg (im assuming thats where you got it) it didn't work/fix the computer, you might be able free return shipping.

So everything happens the same as before. If that heatsink is over heating, it could mean the mobo is dead. Give me the link to your original thread where you were told to get a PSU, I'll see what I can make of it ;)

okay i did three passes no errors, could it be my gpu i used ccc overdrive and truned them all to high but then i didnt think it help so i put it back to what i think is stock?
 
I did the same thing not too long ago. I overclocked my video card using CCC overdrive and it messed up all my video drivers. What I did to fix it was a System Restore. Try a System Restore to before the overclock if you can.
 
I'd recommend reinstalling GPU drivers vs. a system restore.

1.Download the latest drivers, save them on your desktop or another location, also, download driver sweeper and install it.
2.Open up device manager(right click "My Computer"->Properties->device manager)
3.Navigate to your video card, right click, uninstall as well as check "Delete driver software for this device"
4.Restart the computer into safe mode(press F8 repeatedly at startup to enter windows boot options)
5.Run driver sweeper
6.Install new device drivers
7.Restart

ill give that a shot dont remember when i overclock it tho ill just go to the lastest date

yeah reinstalling the driver and sweeping the junk didnt fix it so i have a fan blowing on the heatsink and if that fixes then ill buy a south or north bridge fan aka like a 40mm fan

fan thing didnt work so i took out my gpu and am using my igpu and at the same settings that i use with my card it works but its not playable becuz it is to lagy on the settings so something is wrong with my card or maybe my pcie slot?
 
i had similar problems with mw2 on the pc in my sig. but the problem was that vista was taking too much resources. my setup isn't as nice as yours (wish i had a better cpu). i reloaded xp home and updated it to sp3 and made sure all the software was up to date.now it runs perfect. now if i could just get more than 1 kill in a match i will be fine. lol.
