So far OK, but I thought it was on channel 11 this seems to contradict this as channel 1, If I change this will the PC automatically change?

I have had a couple of weeks now, no more dropping out. Would I gain any advantage by changing from 811g to n ?

You should get a little better speed and signal strength using N.
