G Grimulus New Member Oct 22, 2004 #4 i've heard so....the problem is that when i play doom 3, things are very jerky...it's obviously not a video card problem, it has to be the hard drive....it's serial ATA, it ran much smoother on an IDE.

HDD performance doesnt make that drastic of a change in perf it's serial ATA, it ran much smoother on an IDE. Click to expand... SATA is a part of the IDE spec.
