WEP key

Hi all, if you read my last thread I managed to sort out the wireless problem bar one thing.

When I enable WEP though the 192.168.0.1 screens, I cannot connect wirelessly to the net.

The D-link helpline said to call my hardware manufacturer to find out where to input the WEP key for my wireless hardware. What does he mean by this? does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks,
Crazyk

Ha Ha, found out how to do it for all those for future reference.

Go to the 192.168.0.1 admin account.

1. Enable the wep and change the key to whatever you like and write down the number.

Then go to my network places > view network connections > dbl click wireless network > View wireless network > left click the network > then in left hand menu click change the order of prefered network > click the network name and go to properties > Data Encription WEP > and then type in the network key that you wrote down.

Oops forgot to add, make sure that if you fill in key 1 that you pick key 1 in windows properties.

Happy surfing
