Greetings All,

....i believe i remember some time ago when you bought a WESTERN DIGITAL hard drive that they threw in a cd rom (BOOT-ABLE) that you placed into the cd-rom drive and subsequently you were able to select from a few utilities to not only check the hard drive but, to copy one hard drive to another...the WD site NO LONGER has this available and i have misplaced any disc that came with my previous wd hd purchases....

......so, my question is, does anyone have this disc available for either download or file transfer or other?......thanks again.

......thanks for the reply...having just awakened and no coffee yet, will these burn as boot-able to a CD ROM disc and to be run from the disc and NOT installed?

HAVING STARTED MY COFFEE:

wants to be installed - no good

wants a floppy disc - absent that, this would not work

With the Acronis software, you install it and then make a bootable ISO from within the program.

Those are what you want. It's not all built into one thing. If you want it all built into one thing, download and burn yourself a copy of Hiren's Boot CD.

WD doesn't provide what you're asking for anymore. But like I said, Hirens has everything all under the HDD Testing section.

**I KNOW THAT! HOWEVER, IN MY ORIGINAL POST I ASKED IF ANYONE HAD A LINK TO THAT THAT THAT PARTICULAR ONE OR, POSSIBLE DO A FILE TRANSFER TO ME IN SOME MANNER..

But like I said, Hirens has everything all under the HDD Testing section.
