Western Digital Raptor?

so, installing your OS on one high RPM HDD, all by its lonesome self, can boost performance , mainly speed?

if so, about how much space does 64 bit vista ultimate take up?

In a nut shell,,,yes

When hard drives get too full,,they can compromise speed. At least that has been my experience.

Also if you have your OS and virus stuff on drive one and only download 'stuff" to your second drive,,If you get a virus in your downloaded drive,,chances are your startup, windows and anti virus files will be protected.

could you install and anti virus on all 2 or 3 drives, but only buy it once?

Installing an antivirus on a computer protects all drives on the system. You couldn't install it on every drive unless each drive was a different operating system.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I was wondering. The video I get for video editing off my DV camcorder would I want to put that on my Raptor 150GB or my 320GB 7,200 WD.

Put the video on the 320GB drive. Only programs, games and the OS go on the Raptor. Memorize that. :P
