Western Digital WD2500AAKS 250GB Hard Drive SATAII

Hi,
my first post........can anyone help me.........Ive bought the above HD and plan to build my first ever PC.....problem is Im a bit of a novice when it comes to this......and Im confused..my new HD has a sata300gbs conenctor and a power connector.........it also has a smallish rectangular 8 pin connector and I have no idea what this is for or where it goes I dont have a connector for it on my PSU or anywhere else. Can someone please tell me what its for and if I need to connect it.

Nothing goes there, thats just the hard drive jumpers. No need to mess with them =)
