Hi all..

Im keen on getting a 4890.

These are the ones Im looking at:

Firstly this one cause its cheap and I think the "900" in the title is the GPU clock therefore is a factory OC one... I have sent an email to the company asking them this.. The only thing I dont know if the brands any good.

Theres this one that the cheapest 4890 in the country.... but the website doesnt say what brand, its OEM I think and I think its a standard clocked one.

Ive basically been looking off this list for it...

Any direction would be awesome..
Cheers

Im not really too fussed... Im sure HIS has a long enough warranty... Just is it a good brand? Like reliable etc... So I wont have to use the warranty...

Yeah XFX is good... but none of them are the OC versions that I can see.

Its not like overclocking is that hard..:P But yeah, HIS is one of the better graphics cards out there for ati, alongside Sapphire and XFX.

Oh is it? Haha I was thinking it was one of the worse lol. Sweet then.

Tell me.. A factory OC card... can I then OC it further than if I brought a non OC one?

I have an XFX.Its a solid performer...seriusly you will be very happy with its performance.

The downfall of the XFX model though is its fan,im actualy RMA mine because of noisy clicky fan problem but that might just be a one off problem on my card.

You could look into other manufacturers that offer a custom/aftermarket cooler on theirs such as Sapphires or Powercolour

Yeah I was looking for ones with an aftermarket cooler... But none of them seem to have any at the moment... Plus Im sure it will be the as my 4870 now.

Depends, most not really though.

Well seeing as HIS is a good brand... Ill wait for the shop to get back to me. And probably go with that one.

Well I rang the shop... they couldnt tell me for sure (useless lol) as they dont have stock right now but will in two days...

So what do you guys think..... This product title must mean that is 900mhz and 4000mhz overclocked right?

Hightech ATI HD4890 PCI-E 2.0 1GB 256-bit GDDR5, 900/4000MHz, Dual DVI/ HDMI/ HDCP, Fan
