What am I missing for Win7 Home network security?

I’m moving stuff from Vista Computer to Win7 computer through the network and I discovered that I have access to all users desktops and files from Vista, but not from Win 7. Everything except for public files on Vista is locked.
I want the same protection on the newer Win7, but I can’t find the settings to do that on Win7

You won't be able to use homegroup so hopefully you don't have it setup. You will have to manually set it up.
