This is not a "what is the best antivirus" question again, just which one do YOU use?

If you've chosen "Other" please specify.

I currently don't have anti-virus software installed, but when I do it's Norton AntiVirus 2006.

Avast, i did have norton except got sick of ti nagging me to do everything, then the subscription expired so i switched to avast, but i do have a copy of norton 2006 somewhere that came with my motherboard

Lee :)

I did the same thing, switched to Avast when the Norton sub expired. If/when I have to rebuild my PC I don't know if I should put Norton in again (after all, I did pay good money for it) or Avast.

yeh, norton is quite beefy for what it does.... i use AVG, low on sys resources and simple to use, on the fly protection as well as scheduled scans. what more could you ask for....

It's true that Norton uses alot more resources than other programs, but i think its a really nice program. It has a great GUI, probably one of the most up-to-date in terms of protection, and finds a good amount of spyware/virus's.

I get a free copy of McAfee Enterprise I believe it is from school, before that Kaspersky but they caught on to how people updated it without licenses and I needed a new one

lol, that sounds a bit illegal...

I see the majority uses AVG, which one the free version or the one you pay for?
Whats the difference between those two versions?

I used to use AVG. It's nice and quick, but doesn't catch as much as AntiVir.

Interface.

Of course, my Linux and Mac are N/A. Linux doesn't get anything, and I wipe and reinstall it to play around weekly, anyway. My Mac is old enough that it can only run the Mac OS versions old enough that Apple has download sites for them, so I... Well, I do the same thing. LOL
