What are racks worth?

I have stumbled upon several unwanted fullsize racks. They are used but in decent condition. What should i expect to get for each of these if i sell them?
 
It depends. An enclosed 42u rack in good condition, with front and rear locking doors and locking side panels could bring about $600 from the right buyer. The trick is finding someone interested in used racks. Usually that would be a company that is deploying their first servers.

I would go for something like that... Just because I have a few little ideas. But, yeah, those things are valuable... They are expensive when new, I have looked before...
 
They are 42U. How would i go about selling them? they don't appear to be selling on ebay i was hoping for $400 a piece and they do have all sides and locks. Some have fans and ups but i would sell the ups separate.
 
I doubt you'd sell them on Ebay. They're too big and for $400 shipping would make it cost prohibitive. You'd have to go to local IT guys if you don't have connections and take offers.

Your target market doesn't shop ebay. They go to their IT or wholesalers to get them. I get mine from a wholesaler.
