What are the pros and cons of a Mac and a PC?

I'm planning on selling my extremely crappy Gateway laptop and either getting an HP laptop or possibly a Mac (either desktop or laptop, not sure yet). But before I make my decision, I need to know what's so great about a Mac and what's no so great about it, as well as a PC. I make a lot of videos of me and my friends and family, take a lot of pictures, quite a bit of editing, multitasking, stuff like that. So I would like something that is up to par with that. Thanks a bunch.

Generic Parts
Better for gaming

Mac
Less Compatibil
Only Mac parts work
Better for photo editing and video (supposed)

i personaly love PC and would never like a Mac

and also it depend on which OS you plan on using
 
As the Anti-Mac I am going to reccomend a PC!

But yea, it depends on what software you use.

Also this should really be in the laptops thread!
 
Pros of mac:
GREAT multi media editing!
Easy interface
Support is excellent
Design is sleek

Cons:
Horrible game support
Pricy systems
no ctrl+alt+del :P

Windows pros:
good all-round applications (not as great with multimedia but it makes up with games and productivity software)
easy to navigate
Eye candy visuals :P

Cons:
Blue Screen Of Death
Limited support
Talk about BLOAT WARE
does not come preloaded with applications you need
 
Windows has very good support as so many people use it so you will prob find answers to windows problems on forums like this one. However less people use macs so you are less likely to find answers to questions.
 
But mac itself has wonderful support they over nighted me a box, fixed my mac in a day, over nighted it back to me.
