Hello all, I am building a VERY budget rig soon and I'm wondering what these specs can do. I'm 15 and Iv'e never built a computer before, but I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to computers.

I put this setup together on a tight budget, $400. All the parts are from newegg.

Here are the specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache

Ram: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200, 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

Mobo: ASUS M4A785-M AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard With on board HD 4200

Video card: XFX Radeon HD 4350 512mb DDR2 (I can pull it out of the computer I'm using now)

DVD Drive: LG Dvd burner. Nothing special

Case: LOGISYS Computer Area 51 with 450 watt power supply

Total: $373.24 shipped

So what would this be able to run? I plan on replacing the Video card with a HD 5770 as soon as I can, but what kind of games could I play?

Thanks

-Jack :)

The below leaves you about $75 to find a case with no psu, but combo'ed with a cd/dvd if you can, or separate.
This Athlon II has 3 cores, should be better for gaming, and costs less.
I'm not too sure on this mobo. I know it will work, but there might be a better option.
As for what games it will play, I couldn't say because I'm not much of a gamer.
But it should do very well. Perhaps someone will come along and help out.

Approx. $325 after rebates/combos/shipping.

You can get another 2GB memory when you get the $ saved up.
Do you have an os?

This case is pretty cool. Bling in the front, window on the side, painted interior, comes with the fans, tooless design,
a bottom mount for the psu which is better, and a combo for a cd/dvd w/ lightscribe.
