What Car Charger to Get?

Does it matter what kind/brand of car charger to get to charge your phone while driving?

Some are rated for fast charging if your phone supports it. Just get what fits (USB or Lightning) from a reputable brand.

In addition to what porterjw said for iphones get an MFI (Made For Idevice) certified cable. This contains a custom apple chip that is your last ditch protection against voltage spikes and surges

I usually just shop for QC compatible, make sure the port can pump out ~18w for best charging performance. There's some decent ones that contain USBA and USBC ports which support all of the recent negotiation protocols.
