what codec is required?

I've been having trouble with .mov files for a long time. I just want to know, which codec is required for WMP to play QT files? I get "error downloading codec" whenever the player wants to use a .mov file. Anyway, if you could tell me which one, I can search for it and maunually download it.

I don't think windows media player can play the mov. format, that why apple made quicktime. However you can convert the mov. format if you want.

I'm sure you can play .mov files in WMP. I did it once, a long time ago.

you can't play .mov on windows media.

if you do find a codec, it will probably allow windows media to support the file, but the actual video, you will not see. simply put, you will only hear the audio.

just download quicktime, or a quicktime alternative.
