I just got my laptop that id posted about earlier, Acer Extensa 4420-5239. Its perfect for me so far, the size is big enough but not too big. Im workin through vista pretty well too.

But i had read on here somewhere that once someone got this laptop they went through and deleted all this bloatware that came with it. I went to "Add/Remove Prgrams" in control panel and saw alot of stuff, but im not sure what is ok to get rid of and stuff. So if anyone has this laptop and knows what stuff they deleted, i would love to know. THANKSSS

O yea, i have like 65 processes running at a time. Is that alot? I thought so, but that was with my desktop, idk if its diff for a laptop..

Well more than likely you can remove everything and be fine but if you want to be safe, post a screenshot and we can tell you what to uninstall.

welll see how this goes....

thats the "uninstall programs" list.. and woo for me for posting pics when i had no clue how to :)

The only one I would uninstall is AOL Messenger (unless needed). I have just had 6 Aspire 6920G's (T5750 @ 2.0Ghz, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Home Premium, BluRay), and as soon as I tried to uninstall any Acer software, it crashed (definitely have to leave the Launch Manager, because it contains the drivers for some of the hardware). With Acer's, ensure you make a factory settings recovery DVD, then try and uninstall what you want.

If it goes wrong at any point, slap the restore disk back in, and just carry on using it as it was. I myself would never try to uninstall any Acer software again, but I've never had an Extensa. Tbh, I just wont buy their PC's any more.

Stuff like the Crystal Eye software is mandatory (Webcam driver), and Acer Assist could probably go, but it might be handy to keep. My advice is to try and find someone else with an Extensa, then they could tell you what they removed, and what they kept, and then what the outcome was.
