What did I burn? O_O

I put in Power Suply cord and I turn it on. I see few lights, but nothing is starting up. No fans are spinning nothing completly. How can I know if I burned anything? Can you guys give me tips what I have to look for to know if I burned Power suply, motherboard, cpu......? any help would be appriciated. thanks in advanced.
 
I dont think you did. I dont think you plugged in the cable to the motherboard all the way. There should be a latch on the side of this cable that latches in with the motherboard, just press firmly the cable firmly then retry it.
EDIT: I am talking about the power cable that goes to the motherboard.
 
I took off the cord from motherboard and pluged it back in... again.. Lights light up on my box and one light beside RAM, but there is no FAN movements or anything. Its like when you can't turn on the car, but the sterio is still playing : |

My Epox would act up with a certain power supply that was definetly good. When I'd try to turn it on, only one of the 7 or so lights on the mobo would light up... Some motherboards just don't like certain power supplies.

Also, be sure everything is grounded correctly.
 
I have carpet everywhere O_O..... You think I burned my CPU or Motherboard?... how can I check if they are good... the CPU or motherboard or Power Suply.... I am really worried
 
The only way to check those things is to stick them with things you KNOW works... Processor in a working mobo, mobo with working components, etc etc...

Now computer parts can be easy to break, but I have run computers while they sat on my carpet, with the powersupply and harddrive all sitting on the carpet as well :P
 
Well I hope Everthing is ok. I will go in the morning to www.canadacomputers.com store. I have not ordered the parts for my computer from there. Where I ordered my parts were from NCIX.com. Very cheap prices!. and shipping is pretty fast if you live in canada. I bought 3.2GHZ CPU and LGA775 motherboard and 6800 video card. I am telling you NCIX.com rules.
 
You've probably checked this, but make sure that the 4 pin ATX12V cable is plugged into your mobo, as well as the 20/24 pin cable. Failing to connect this can cause the symptoms you've described.
 
I connected ever possible thingies : |. Well I do not have another choice. tomrrow morning first thing I am heading to computer store and asking them to check my computer and find out whats wrong... I have no idea what this can be. I will let you know some time today.. stay tuned :]
 
Hehe the problem was. I almost fried my mobo. I forgot to put these in before placing my mobo on the metal plate :
