Try START > RUN > DXDIAG that'll give you basic info on your computer and you can go over to DISPLAY and see some basic video card stuff as for the hard disk goto MY COMPUTER and right click a hard disk icon and goto PROPERTIES.

If its the Gatway, you can't overclock the processor.

You seem to have little computer knowledge... I would suggest learning all you can before opening your PC or trying to overclock anything. Your also going to want to install a decent graphics accelerator which will help with games. You'll want to know how much ram is installed. You can find this either by typeing "dxdiag" in run as suggested previously, or you can right click on "My Computer" icon and goto "Properties". It will be under the general tab.

Pc Wizard 2006 is very detailed. You can download a standalone version so it loads directly off of an external device.

You are going to need a graphics card if you want to play newer games at the lanparty, onboard graphics won't really cut it.

So you have 1GB of RAM, thats a good thing, but you wont be able to play anything other than Solitaire on those integrated graphics. Your CPU isnt bad and whatnot, but do you have any of the games you are going to be playing at the LAN party already installed?
