What do I need for wireless internet?

Sorry, I'm completely clueless when it comes to computers....
What kind of computer/internet service is best for connecting to the internet while on the road? Also, I'm moving to Wisconsin for 6 months, is there a website that shows where wireless internet is available? I want to make sure I have a good connection while I'm up there.

the only way to get internet on the road is if you go to a WiFi hotspot.they are usually at a cafe like starbucks and stuff. you would need wireless card to connect. also to find hot spots you can buy these little devices that search for WiFi in the area. they are usually small so that you can have them on your keychain. here we go http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q...US:official&percentage_served=100&sa=N&tab=wf

Actually he could use a cell phone and a data cable to get dial up access everywhere. I know my ISP Yahoo, offers free dial up with a dsl Subscription.
