What do you guys think of this psu?

How could you not be sure of the watts?! It says it all over the page O.o

It looks good... I like the fan grills on it too ;) SOmetimes I wonder how differnt power supplies really are because many of them look the same. For example, check mine out.

They look very similar other than the additional fan on that one

Anyway, mine's suppose to be one of the best around and that one's specs are very similar. I'm still not exactly sure if duel rail is very helpful, but even without it, I'd think that wouldn't be a bad choice...

Look around google and such for reviews on it. I couldn't find anything right off, but that's probably the best place to really get help...
 
aight, thanks , i wasnt sure of the watts cause i forgot, lol , but yea, i havent heard any bad news about that psu and i like the grill and the lights , so thats the one ill prolly get , thanks.. :)
 
Exactly... you must be pretty lazy to be in the market for a new psu, and not read the psu 101! Read them all, a dozen times, then ask questions. I guarantee you will be able to make a much smarter choice, and you will see a big difference between those two psu's.

And even if you are lazy ... there are suggested PSUs in there ... so that argument doesnt quite work ;)
 
dammit, i already bought it, o well, if its not a true 450 its at least similar to a good 400 rite?
and yes im lazy , i hate readin stuff

edit: how much watts is a GOOD psu that would perform the same as that one?

Take a look at this...

This big'ol 550 watt diablotek puts out a puny 20 amps at +12 volts. While this "little" 460 watt vantec claims 30 amps at +12. According to the 101 the ladder would be a much better machine.

Think of the quality of the product, they can claim just about any wattage they want, but that doesn't show you what it's actually cabable of. I don't know what your into, but the same kind of thing happens in many industries. You think a cheap ass profile 1000 watt amplifier puts out the same power as a high quality zapco 1000 watt? Not even close.

Read the PSU101.

Its funny how when you say to people "I have this <thing> and it can do <all that>" and they apply common sense and are skeptical yet with computers .... so many sheep. Just following the numbers hehe
