i know its only 8gb but i can get a 32gb, i am just thinking would it be better to go this route or the ssd drives?

i belive it will be £70 for a 32gig memory card and its about double for a decent ssd drive (samsung controller not jmicron)

i know it would be better to spend the cash on a normal hard drive but the instant access is appealing to me.

let me know you opinions
thanx

those things might have "instant access" but they suck at sustained transfer rates.
if you really want to spend the money on something like that get one of the intel x series.

im just curious about how you got your information about them sucking (ssd adapters) at sustained transfer rates-is that compaired to there access time or compaired to normal hard drives?

if they read instantly but write at the same speed as normal hard drives then i would still be interested, its access time im more interested in but if they write slower than normal hard drives then im not interested

i heard good things about the samsung ssd's, no stuttering and a faster write speed... due to them not using the Jmicron controllers but they are still expensive.

i just thought if i got one of these ssd adapters and a 32gb card it would work out at about £80 compaired to the normal ssd drives its a bargain

i was referring to the 8gb sd adapter thing. The samsung might me be worth it. haven't seen any reviews on those.
