What do you have your core clocks and memory speed set at on your 7900's?

Hi guys, I was playing around with the memory card tonight, it's a 7900GT. I had the core bus at 528Mhz and the memory speed at 767 and scored a 5083 on 3DMark06 with the following set up:

CPU: 4600+, small 5% overclock to 2.52GHz
MoBo: Generic ECS crap board
RAM: 1 GB DDR2-667 Corsair Value Select
GPU: 7900GT, core bus @ 528Mhz and memory speed @ 767Mhz

By my calculations that's roughly 12% overclocked. It didn't run too stable...froze once or twice and left some dots or little squares on the screen. I backed it down to a roughly 10% overclock, 513 core bus and 752 memory speed. It seems to run stable this way, 3DMark said 4986. Is this an okay overclock for a 7900GT or should I back it down more? For right now I left it at 513Mhz core and 752Mhz memory. Thanks for any input.

My XFX 7900GT is clocked at 620/1860. I guess 513 is an ok overclock, but if you google 7900GT reviews most of them got more than 550 easily. It all depends on alot of factors like your chip quality, board design, capacitors used and heat. I have a custom after-market cooler on my card. I also GRAM volt-modded it, that's how I got it up to 1860Mhz. If I volt mod the Core from 1.2V to 1.4, I'm sure I can go higher, I have heard of one clocked at 800Mhz Core and 2Ghz RAM, but they used a really elaborate cooling system, way beyond my budget.

Also, I just want to point out that the 7900GTX also uses the same G71 core, and its Vcore is at 1.4, so voltmodding a 7900GT to 1.4V should be ok if done correctly. The tricky bit is performing the mod.

elitehacker, the more I am thinking about it my card might be having an issue because it wont run stable at anything over factory. Even at 513/752 it was acting up...freezing, skipping, weird squares and black marks on the screen. So I have it back at stock now. Even before i OC'd it did some weird things but I never really thought about it having a problem until now. I'm kind of pissed because my 7900GS in my 3800+ rig is clocked at 573/727 and 3DMark06's 4382 and with the 4600+/7900GT combo with the GPU at factory clocks it benchmarks 4523. So now I am considering putting the GS in the 4600+ machine because it runs stable over factory. Do you think a 7900GS at 573/727 will be a big difference between a 7900GT at 470/685? I would just swap them and see but I have an XFX card too so it has the 4-pin power input and the PSU doesn't have the PCI-E input run, so I'd either have to re-wire the thing or dig or a 4-pin to PCI-E connector. Think it's worth the swap?
