What do you think about this monitor?

I plan on setting up dual monitors within the next few months, after I build my new desk, and get some more cash, and I noticed this monitor:

How well do you think it'd do for gaming? I would plan on using the new monitor for my games and the other (the one I have now) for an ever-open browser or something to bench with. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend more than $200, and I won't be able to buy it for a few months, but I like shopping ahead and knowing what I'm going to buy long before I buy it.

Looks like a nice monitor, does it have to be 20" ?

Take a look at the 22" in your range here

+1 for that comment...you will be much more pleased if you go with a 22" instead of a 20"

Some of the monitors from that Newegg link are open box...just be aware of Newegg's open box policy if you choose one. I am not saying it is bad to buy open box...really you can get very nice hardware for good prices. Just remember to fully test the product as soon as you get it.

Yes that does mean they have been returned from other customers for whatever reason.

Many people think that "open-box" means that it probably isn't going to work. That is not the case in fact...maybe Newegg shipped the wrong item and it has been returned. There can be a hundred reasons why it has been returned.

Quote from Newegg's support page....
What is the return policy for open box merchandise? Do open box items offer any additional return policy coverage?
"Newegg.com offers a 15-day refund-only return policy for all open box merchandise. Remember if you purchase a Open Box product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly."

What is a open box item? Does Newegg.com open box items or does the original manufacturer?
"Open Box items have been opened and touched and/or returned. Because they originate from different situations, they may or may not include accessories, documentation or retail packaging. Refurbishment is done by the manufacturer. Open Box products are warranted for only 15 days. We recommend that you try out your open box product immediately after receiving it."

There are some nice 22" monitors at Newegg that are NOT open box if it makes you nervous...a monitor is one thing I would buy open box...a motherboard, that's a different story, no way

Thats nice man, you can use that for blu-ray if you get it ;)
lol man, its just regular widescreen 16:9. :P

For 1920x1080 i'd personally go for 24"+ i think everything looks to small on a 22" monitor at that resolution, but i have bad eyes lol >.<

Erm, i think it depends where you sit, if you use a 24" monitor and sit futher away, than you would with a 22" monitor like (10%) its the same as a 22" monitor.

But it all depends on the specs.

But thats a good point aha, im not entriely sure :P

I'm going to go with the 22", just because I'm not going to pay $100 more for 2 more inches. Thanks for the help, man.
